Everybody loves this time of year. No not because of the Champions League final or because each and every football league in this world is coming to a close, but because of the wonderful transfer rumors. We all remember how we ignored the Henry rumors last year and how shocked we were when he actually left the Gunners. So lets not make the same mistake as last summer. Here are some transfer rumors I’ve read/heard from various sites/people

Big news outta Anfield is that they are in the market for Quaresma. Its no secret that Pennant has not been able to fit the bill on the wing since his 2006 transfer from Birmingham so this rumor seems legit. Quaresma is an attacking midfield who would complement Alonso and Gerrard very nicely. Anfield fans you may see a Premiership title next season…….but probably not.

News outta Chelsea is that Drogba and Sheva have a fifty fifty chance of leaving Stamford Bridge this summer. It is widely known that Sheva is homesick for the San Siro and wants to be back in the red and black. Drogba and Grant have not mixed well this year and the signing of Anelka in December kinda signed Drogba’s transfer papers. Lookfor Drogba to get picked up by Valencia in a David Villa – Drogba swap. Also, look for Chelsea to pick up Daniel Alves from Sevilla. They are in desperate need of a right fullback which is Alves’s natural position. This will, allow, Essien to move back into the Midfield where he most comfortable.

Even though Man U’s team is near perfect, look for SAF to bring more young guns to Old Trafford. Benzema is a lock and will be the 3rd forward behind Tevez(who will be signed permanently) and Rooney. Look for them to go after Alves also but it doesn’t look like as much of a need as Chelsea’s dillema therefore they will not be willing to spend the kind of money Chelsea will to get him. Also, look for Flectcher, O’Hara, Saha, and Ben Foster to leave this summer.

Portsmouth really has an impressive squad but can they piece it all together. With the Baros and Defoe up front there is no real need for forwards. Their infield is pretty solid with Mutari, Kranjcar, Utaka and Sean Davis. However, Sean Davis is a poor excuse for a Top Flight European Competition team so look for them to get another center mid. If I were a betting man I would put my money on Redknapp bringing Christian Poulsen over from Sevilla or Scott Brown from Celtic. Both fit his system well and could really boost Portsmouth’s chances to get into Europe. Look for Kanu to leave this summer probably moving to West Brom. And if Poulsen and/or Brown are signed, Davis and Mendes will be shipped out the door.

Arsenal is in need of serious help. Their collapse this season is one for the ages and don’t think that Arsene Wenger is going to sit back this summer and not do anything. First off, Samuel Eto’o will be his first big signing. With the uncertainty of Eduardo’s leg and the inconsistency of Bendtner and Adebayor look for the out of favor Eto’o to make a new home in London. I, also, see Micah Richards coming over from Man City. Even though he just signed that big new contract the prospect of playing Champions League football will be more than enough to get him to come to the Emrates Stadium.

Other England Rumors.

Peter Crouch to Aston Villa with Barry coming the other way. Even though, Rafa is a somewhat of a D-Bag, yes Anfield he is…admit it, the deal will still get done and both sides will benefit from this.

With Modric coming to Tottenham, you can kiss Tom Huddlestone good bye. Look for him to end up in Sunderland with Roy Keane….his childhood hero.

Keane will also bring over Ben Arfa from Lyon. I know this is a stretch because of the money but I see Keane making one maybe two signing and it is no secret that Jones need back up. And what better way then to splash cash at a can’t miss guy like Ben Arfa.

Look for Everton to sure up their Midfield by bring over Sanchez Joaquin from Valencia. Since Valencia is not going to make Europe next year, Joaquin will not be in at the Mestalla. Reports are that he is good friends with Mikel Arteta and that Everton has the money to buy him. This will certainly be an upgrade in the Midfield that with him is stacked.

Sven is out at Man CIty but Scolari is in (don’t buy his saying that he didn’t want the position). With Scolari in, look his Portuguese flavor to take over. I see Paulo Ferreira coming over from Chelsea and Helder Postiga coming from Porto to back up Bojinov. He will, also, spell the end of MIcah Richards being in the Baby Blues.
